On Wednesday, OnePlus officially announced that a highly anticipated new Nord smartphone, presumably named the OnePlus Nord 4, will be revealed at their summer launch event on July 16 in Milan, Italy.
In a bold teaser featuring a sleek metal card, OnePlus emphasized its unwavering commitment to quality and innovation. "Some say it's impossible in the 5G era to make a smartphone with the strength, sophistication, and enduring quality of metal. We say... Never Settle," read the message, hinting at the upcoming Nord model adopting a metal frame. This announcement effectively puts to rest earlier speculations that the OnePlus Ace 3V, designed with a plastic/polycarbonate body, would be rebranded as the Nord 4 for international markets.
Prominent leakster Sanju Choudhary has added to the excitement by sharing a purported image of the Nord 4 on the social media platform X. The sketchy-looking photo reveals a device with a refined metal frame and a dual-tone finish on the back, complete with two large camera sensors––a departure from OnePlus’ previous designs. Choudhary claims the Nord 4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, featuring a 6.74-inch OLED Tianma U8+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 2,150 nits. However, it remains uncertain whether the display will be flat or curved.
Further leaks suggest the Nord 4 will sport a 50MP primary camera, complemented by an ultra-wide-angle lens. Key specs reportedly include a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging capabilities, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and the signature alert slider. The device will come equipped with Android 14 topped with OxygenOS 14 and is expected to receive three major OS updates and four years of security patches.

In an earlier assertion, Choudhary hinted the OnePlus Nord 4 could launch with a price tag around Rs 31,999. Nevertheless, the final design and price details remain to be officially confirmed by OnePlus.
While the tech community eagerly awaits this significant launch, OnePlus has yet to disclose any additional products that may be unveiled during the summer event. Speculations suggest a variety of new accessories might also make their debut.
