iPhone Mirroring
This new feature lets users display their iPhone screens on supported Mac computers, promoting seamless interaction between the devices. Users can receive notifications and use drag-and-drop functionality without needing to unlock their devices.
Enhanced SharePlay
The updated SharePlay screen sharing capability empowers users to draw on and control others' screens during shared sessions. This enhancement significantly improves collaborative efforts and communication.
App Store Improvements
A dark mode icon has been introduced for the App Store, aligning it with iOS's overall aesthetic preferences.
Multi-language Keyboard
The multi-language keyboard feature now supports up to three languages simultaneously, including a selection of 27 Indian languages such as English (India), Hindi, Assamese, Bangla, and Urdu.
RCS Messaging
Although RCS messaging support is included in this beta, users in India will have to wait for its availability in their region.
Things to Keep in Mind Before Downloading
Developer betas are primarily for developers to test their apps and report bugs. These versions can cause unexpected crashes and might prevent users from accessing some apps properly. It's advisable to download the more stable public beta, which will be released later this month or in July 9 .
How to Download and Install iOS 18 Developer Beta 2
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone.
