Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Chipset and Performance Enhancements
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is tipped to debut with a custom-tuned version of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This chipset, optimized for Samsung’s ecosystem, should promise lightning-fast performance, better multitasking, and seamless integration with One UI 8 based on Android 16.

Photography enthusiasts have much to look forward to. Leaks indicate the Z Fold 7 will sport a triple camera array headlined by a powerful 200MP main sensor, echoing the camera prowess of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This will be backed by a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 10MP telephoto shooter. The outer front camera remains at 10MP, while Samsung may replace the under-display camera on the inner screen with a punch-hole design, likely enhancing selfie and video call quality.

The foldable is expected to house a 4,400mAh battery—unchanged from the previous generation—but Samsung is banking on the new Snapdragon chipset’s improved efficiency for longer battery life. Out of the box, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will run One UI 8 based on Android 16, complete with advanced Galaxy AI features tailored for multitasking and foldable usage.
